The best looking of the '94-'01 generation in my opinion. The Off Road package for the Ram 1500 added a 2" lift, larger 17" wheels and tires, skid plates, extra cooling, and 4.10 gears.

17" wheels seem kinda underwhelming. They look small on the truck, otherwise it looks great.

I mean, my '08 Camry has 17"

17s were fairly big for 2000 when most trucks came with 15s or 16s.

Wheels and tires used to be a lot smaller back in the day. I worked in the truck parts business in the early 2000's so most of what we were selling was for stuff from the 90's and back. The most common truck tire size we sold was 235/75/R15, those things were on everything from small SUV's to 4WD full size trucks. That measures out to 29" and you'd find them under the fenders of things as large as an F150 or Silverado. If you got the optional tire package sometimes you'd get 31" tires. Cars had little wheels too, 15" was considered a large wheel size for a compact car and even full size cars would rarely go over 16". Sports cars were usually 17" at the most but some of the really high end stuff might hit 18".

Compare that to the base model Ram 1500 of today... the most stripped out model you can get, with plain trim and steel wheels and crank-up windows comes with 265/70/R17 tires, measuring out just a hair under 32".

Yeah, I could see that. When my Grandpa got the Mazda CX9 with the 19" rims we thought they where gigantic. The car he replaced was an ML320, which has considerably smaller wheels from what I can remember.

I remember when I got my 2003 Ram 1500 with the 20" wheels and 275/65/20s. It was amazing coming from a 1994 S10 Blazer with—you guessed it—235/75/15s.
