The old one. I have a soft spot for those.

4th gen since you could get it with the V8. I owned a 3rd gen. It was a great vehicle, especially in the limited trim that I had, but the extra power and slightly bigger size would have been welcome.

Tough call... I'm leaning toward the 3rd Gen, only because I've been thinking of getting one lately, and they're in my price range (aka super cheap) and yet still very much reliable.

Yeah the 3rd gen was pretty down on power. I drove one straight through the Rockies once and after a certain point you're getting passed by ambitious RV drivers, even with the manual transmission. I also like the lift on the newer one here.

Agreed. I debated getting a 4th gen before I bought my Land Cruiser, but I ended up wanting the extra space. I do miss rolling down the rear window though. That feature alone almost got me to buy a 1st gen Sequoia

Nah, that's a third gen and those came with the 3.4, which is well known to be an easy 300-400k mile engine. It's the second gen with the self immolating head gaskets. Source: Own a Second gen whose gaskets let go during rush hour in the midst of an Alabama summer. Even then, I would rather have the 3.0 over the 22R. Head gaskets every 150k miles, with nothing else going wrong, is perfectly fine by me.
