Well, just finished up my best render to date. SheVa 9 "Bun-Bun", sixteen-inch naval cannon, fires nuclear shells. 120 ft. tall. Not actually my idea- see John Ringo. I tend to build 'em bigger.

I may have gone overboard on the rust.

Also, have a likewise tangentially related Sluggy Freelance.

That 100% looks like it should be a prop on Archer. The art style is just so freaking close. I love it.

I've personally always loved the "Bolo Continental Siege Unit" as implemented with today's tech. Bun Bun is definitely that.

I think the rust is ok, because by the time we could build it, the high finish aspects would be gone and we'd be painting the steel with Ace Hardware mis-colored paints for cheap (or anything we could find.)

True, except this is about the size of four Rattes in each direction.

I don't think the Posleen would target paint factories particularly. My reasoning was more of it was painted in a rush then, well, not cleaned. It's kind of difficult to clean a one-hundred-twenty-foot-tall tank in the middle of the Posleen War.

Heh, hadn't thought of that. Not really the style I was going for, but hey, I'll take what I can get... XD Thanks man.

Indeed. Fabricating it in the middle of a war in the first place still being another challenge.

I think my favorite of those books were the battleships they used. I like the image of a 16" rifle round for shooting certain kinds of skeet.

Yeah, Daisy May was a total badass of a ship. Makes me wonder if they would have recommissioned the Iowa-class battleships as well. Nine sixteen-inchers would take down a C-Dec pretty damned fast. Hell, it'd make mincemeat out of the entire Rabun Gap pretty fast too... Excuse me, I may need to go design a superdreadnought-size tank. Something just barely smaller and more practical than a Bolo.
