Went to get Saturday's mail this morning. Crap, a letter from the IRS. Left it on the kitchen table 'til now, not wanting to ruin the whole day. Well, might as well find out how much I owe. Opened it and it said I had miscalculated my taxes and I would be getting a refund check back to the tune of $496. Sweet Jesus. I think I am gonna to buy a lottery ticket today. Internet beers for everyone.

When my kids were young and thought they had trouble I always thought, if you think this is trouble wait til you get a letter from the IRS. Sure, go ahead, prove me wrong.

You are pretty much right. This is the first letter I ever got from them with good news in it. I have had a few baaad surprises.
