Plan on doing the same thing basically. But I need to make new door cards first and im replacing the handles with door pulls.

I plan on doing some straps to replace the armrests I wanted to get rid of the arm rests because they are too low to use and for a bit more room.

making the door panels was a major pain in the but cuz I couldnt find the jig saw and used a dremel router thing. Which is why I want to re do the whole thing over again.

i found a write up somebody did where they actually made doors pulls that replaced the latch/handle set up and would open the door. Can decide if i want to go that route.

Our CR-V has that same sort of perforated leatherette on all the gripping surfaces like the wheel, shifter, and door handles. It's a nice material.

I saw that done as well the one i saw looked kinda janky. I would like to cast some door handle cups from aluminum rather than pay china 300 obama bucks.
I always wanted to melt aluminum and cast something.

yeah the stock ones feel pretty cheap to me, which is why id prefer to get rid of them. Im just afraid of a passenger pulling on it by accident and opening the door while driving haha
