Very impressive list! Two things I noticed:
1) American car companies seem to love anniversary editions even more than Porsche.
2) How on Earth did the Bugatti Veyron not get in on this action, as they seem to have a special edition for every day of the year? Some 5 seconds of googling show they didn't miss out and produced the "Bleu Centenaire" in 2009. I guess it does not have a specific badge, so it would not qualify for your list.

So, typically trim and badges.
Nissan, Jaguar, Porsche and VW seem to be the only ones who dare to bump the motor performance. As for the Toyota Supra 15th Anniversary edition? For shame!

Since I can't (for some reason) make original replies to posts, here are a couple of corrections you might want to make:
1. The Buick in the photo isn't a Riviera (it's a LeSabre, I believe).
2. The Silver Anniversary of the T-Bird in 1980 celebrated 25 years, not 30. (A silver anniversary is generally known as the 25 year mark in terms of weddings, etc., and the 'Bird came out in '55.)

1994 Subaru SVX 25th anniversary edition, it only came in Barcelona red and tan leather interior with special badging.
1988 Mazda Rx7 10th anniversary edition, it only came as a turbo model with monochrome white paint, special badging, exclusive embossed steering wheel, and a i think a black leather interior.

And then there was the 1982 Porsche "50th Anniversary Jubilee" editions, to celebrate their 50th year building cars. These were built on all three of the current model lines, the 924 (option M402) , 911 (option M403), and 928 (option M402) They had the usual custom exterior/interior combos, but the really unusual thing was the badging: Ferry Porsche's signature on the headrests!

Incredible list and info! I'd like to add the 1988 Mazda RX-7 Anniversary Edition. http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z17073…
I think others have mentioned the 2004 Boxster 50th Anniversary 550 Spyder Edition, and the Murcielago 40th Anniversary Edition.
I'd also point out that on the 10th Anniversary Miata, that blue was the only decent color that Mazda offered on the car at the time, so it was a really big deal!

It really is a special place where people are interested in 2 inches worth of badge and special paint going into a limited amount of cars.

40th Anniversary Lamborghini Murcielago
In 2004, Lamborghini celebrated its 40th anniversary by releasing a limited run of 50 40th-Anniversary Edition Murciélagos. Enhancements over the standard vehicle included a limited-edition blue body color that was labeled "Jade-Green", carbon-fiber exterior detailing, upgraded wheels, a revamped exhaust system, and a numbered plaque on the inside of the rear window. The interior also featured unique leather trim
30th Anniversary Lamborghini Diablo SE30
The Diablo SE30 was introduced in 1994 as a limited-production special model to commemorate the company's 30th anniversary. The car was designed largely as a street-legal race vehicle that was lighter and more powerful than the standard Diablo.
25th Anniversary Lamborghini Countach
The 25th Anniversary Edition was the most popular, most refined, and possibly the fastest edition of the Lamborghini Countach: 0–60 miles per hour (0–97 km/h) in 4.7 seconds and 183 miles per hour (295 km/h) all out. It also had considerable restyling of various features.

The title of this list is misleading, as it implies that this is a list of all anniversary edition cars that have ever existed, when it clearly only includes US-market anniversary edition cars (you forgot the Ford Bronco Silver Anniversary Edition btw) and almost completely ignores european-, asian-, australian- and african-market only anniversary edition cars.

As the former owner of an CB7 Accord 10th Anniversary Edition I can add a little: the car was an automatic LX with EX interior fabric, no sunroof, and had the LX 125hp motor. No rear sway bar. Spoiler optional. ABS standard, driver side airbag, no automatic seat belts.
I purchased my Frost White CB7 in 2000 for $7200 and sold it in 2012 for $1400 having put 175k on it; it originally sold new on August 30th 1993 at McDavid Honda in Houston for a wink over $19k. The UK CB7 rear license plate trim [between the tail lights] is interchangeable with US CB7s and looks far better.

I had a 2002 Saab 9-3 Anniversary, these were the wheels your talking about. Mine was equivalent to an SE but in Australia it was replaced by the Anniversary model. Aero models were the only ones to receive Carbon Fibre Dashboards with Anniversaries instead having the standard woodgrain. We also had full leather as standard mine being black with sand and all models excluding the Viggen had turbo written on the seats to commemorate 20 years since the introduction of the turbo in Saab's. In the US I believe the SE turned into the SE Anniversary and had a cloth/leather combination (kinda cheap). This model can also be seen as an almost final edition and I think the wheels really modernised the vehicle. I maintain the opinion Saab make the best looking factory alloys but that my opinion.
Unfortunately this is what became of mine :/ Too fast on a dirt road around a bend and flipped it into a tree. Now its a paddock basher with heated seats :P

Wow, you are missing a few big ones! Here's a few off the top of my head...
1988 Lotus Esprit 40th Anniversary
1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary
1998 Nissan Skyline R33 40th Anniversary
2004 Lamborghini Murcielago 40th Anniversary
I suppose you could make an argument that the Ferrari F40 and F50 are "anniversary" cars too, though not special editions of existing cars.

Volvo celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 1977 and released a limited edition version of the 240, the 244DL "anniversary" car. It was finished in metallic silver with black and gold decorative trim and plush upholstery. The glove box was fitted with a silver plaque with the text "Volvo 1927-1977." Special badges were also fitted to the sides of each front wing.

Doesn't sound like much, but these pretty gems command a premium in what constitutes the...eh...240 classic market.

Yeah, VW and the Americans seem to make the best special editions.
And this is how I read the Supras info:
"For 1997, it was the 15th Anniversary edition of the Supra name. All 1997 consisted of special badging."

I came here to post this car! I lusted after that car. Almost talked my dad into buying me a used one in '95, then he decided I couldn't have a faster car than him, so he bought a brand new '96 T-bird with the 4.6 V-8 for himself and gave me his '91 with the base V-6 :(
