The Focus wagon has returned! New control arms, Sachs advantage line struts, H&R sport springs, and all new bushings. Oh my god its a revelation to drive.

Now it all makes sense. Why the MK1 Focus was considered the best handling car in the segment. The reason behind its steering rack going into the old Ford GT. Because it's really good. Steering weights up nicely, snaps back to center, and let's you feel the road. Springs are stiffer, but by no means uncomfortably so. Dampers do an excellent job of minimizing bouncing. Car corners flat, sits lower, and feels planted. It's so much better.

Autocross here I come.

I was really impressed with the MkI focus's steering when I test-drove one, unfortunately the seats killed my bad knee and so I went for a rival instead.

Vauxhaul Astra 1.8, the handling wasn't as good but it was about 2 seconds quicker to 60. That was 13 or so years ago. The MkII (euro) Focus fixed the problem with the seats, that's what's sitting on my drive now.
