Nice, have you been here before? Where will you be? If you go to Fuji Speedway, you should stop by Fun2Drive next by :)

You just made my trip like a x1000 times better! I didn't know that existed. It will be my first time in Tokyo. I found your article by google searching Fun2Drive, and reading from the comments you say that foreigners can drive the cars, and that the owner speaks english. That is a big relief, as I don't know that much Japanese (only been studying it for 1 year.) What would you recommend? Trying to get in touch with them via e-mail, or just go straight to the place when I am in Japan?

If it is possible it would be so much fun.

Seeing that you live in Japan, do you know of any other car related activities near Tokyo?

WEll, first to rent cars alone at Fun2Drive, you must be 25 years old.

If not, your only choice is to do a tour with somebody showing you around. He drives a miata while you follow him in your car.

In Tokyo you can also rent a GT86/BRZ for a couple of days if you want...

It costs about 70$ a day but I think you haveto have a japanese driver license...

Other than that, I don't really know. Your best bet is to find friends with fun cars ;)

Toyota rents cars and has GT86... Foreigners can rent them.

Buzzkill. I'm 22. And Mexico is not in the list of approved countries that can obtain an international driver's permit. Oh well, guess I'll try to find a place for foreigners where you drive only on a track. And find friends with cars.

Arf... that sucks... And they won't let you rent a car on a track without a driver license either... Stupid I know, but that's Japan sometimes :(

But Mexico should issue an international driver license...

Apparently you cna ask for it here: http://www.ama.com.mx/

It's just a translation of your license basically. All countries give one.

You don't get an international driver license in Japan, you always get it in your own country and bring it with you.

Japanese probably won't accept your license to be transfered into a Japanese license, but that does not forbid you to drive in Japan with your own mexican license as long as you have an international driver license that goes with it. Considering how short your stay in Japan is, you wouldn't be able to transfert your driver license into a japanese one anyway so...

I'll get one, even though Japan says Mexicans can't drive there:

We'll see if that works.

Hum... that owuld suck. It appears that Mexico hasn't signed the Geneva Convention in 49... Pretty weird since even Bangladesh or Malawi have licenses they can use in Japan lol

But yeah, Brazil, China, Russia, Vietnam and Mexico seem to not have signed it and therefore have useless international driver licenses... Still give it a try though.

You are going to live my dream, that's awesome! I've been to Japan a few times and loved it, and I've always wanted to go back and do the intensive language class thing.

Please keep sharing what your experience is, and take pictures too! :-)

Yes it is going to be awesome. Going to take a lot of pictures. The only thing missing from being the perfect trip is Magical Mirai 2015.
