Kinja'd!!!

This was my passenger side taillight.

I noticed some condensation building up a few weeks ago, but it really started getting bad over the past few days with all the rain. I figured this would happen too, because I had the dealer replace my driver's side last year. This time I was, of course, 2 months outside my warranty (thanks, Obama) and I had to replace it myself.

I'm glad I replaced it when I did because, holy shit, look at all that water! If you look close, you can see the water level of the pool inside the housing at the very bottom of the picture. I had no idea it was that bad. My buddy told me to buy a goldfish.

Thankfully, they are ridiculously easy to replace. I know it's a fairly common problem with these cars, so if anyone else is having the same issue, Rock Auto has replacements fairly cheap.

Thought that reflection or whatever was a massive dead spider or something at first.........

Then I would tell you to burn this said FRS or BRZ

if mine get that bad I'm using it as the excuse to put in some Valenti's

Lol, if that was the case, I would've really wished it was still under warranty and watch the dealer replace it

Yeah, the stock ones are brilliant. Every aftermarket one I see just looks wrong.

Did they never issue a good-will TSB for this? Been an issue since They rolled off the line.

didn't know this was a common problem with the 86... The front blinker on my miata is much like this and I tried to take it off to dry it out and it seems some ass hole forced it on there with the seal partly out of place. I might try to pry it off but am afraid to break it. In the mean time it bothers the shit out of me lol.

I know. It's annoying. But I'm not aware of any for it

I sometimes think the stock ones look good enough, then days I prefer the Valenti's

I've seen so many BRS's with that issue. What's the problem, exactly?

Something with the seal on the housing. I don't know what they use to seal them, but it sucks. I thought about putting a bead of tiger seal around the whole housing, but decided not to. With my luck, I'd end up with that shit everywhere.

exactly, hard not to love them, tones down the amount of red on a red car like mine

I'd possibly be inclined to agree with you on other colours but I'm leaning towards removing most of the red from the lights on a red car

Yeah, I might be feeling differently if I had a red one. Mine's a WRB BRZ though.

I've noticed that it seems like 1/3 of the FR-S/BRZs have this problem. I don't understand how they could let something so simple go under their radar

yeah clearly a design flaw... They should step up with a recall.
