My buddy is married to a girl who still likes girls and will actively seek out girls at parties/clubs to go back home with them.

lucky bastard.

this was my last girlfriend. We both had another girlfriend as well. Good lord was it fun, but it was complicated and ultimately the end of it when my ACTUAL gf got jealous of the other

My girl used to like girls (does that ever go away?) and recently while at a restaurant she kept commenting about how cute our Asian waitress was so there might be something there.

what say you about that? I always advise against it because it can throw a wrench into something good

Or, for some of us:

if you're bisexual, it typically doesn't "go away" just because you're dating/married to someone.

I'm down to at least try it once and see what are reactions are before throwing out the idea. Without trying to sound like a dick or anything it would only be in the context of sex and not full on side relationship for either of us as I can see how that can cause strain on a relationship.

My buddy has a good thing going, any girl that his wife brings along has already been "debriefed" by her so it works for them.

You both have to have really good conversation skills, no issues discussing hard stuff, and look at it as adding a third person to your relationship if you're going to be having three ways with someone else consistently. At that point, get on the same page and pick up a copy of Opening Up and/or The Ethical Slut, determine together if it's something you want to do.

That's what I'm saying but she will use the phrase "used to like" rather than "used to date". My question in parenthesis was more rhetorical.

Yup, just agreeing w the hypothetical in general. If she doesn't consider herself bisexual and/or isn't attracted to women any more, that's possible too.

the communication was the downfall in our relationship in general, so I totally agree here.
