During my usual evening routine of wasting countless hours perusing used car ads, I happened upon something unusual; something rare; something down-right absurd: This !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for sale at Copley Motorcars in Massachusetts.
Now before everyone begins the circular debate on the superiority of Ferrari’s new La Ferrari vs. the Enzo-based FXX, let’s get something straight: you don’t buy an FXX because it makes sense, hell, you don’t even buy an FXX because its one of the most exclusive Ferrari’s built. Ever.
You buy an FXX because you have an insatiable appetite for performance, and because you quit doing cocaine in the ‘80s.
And by the way, the pleasure costs $1.75 Million. Enjoy.

Would be curious to learn if/how you could make that happen. I would assume money cures all ails.

Copley Motorcars is right down the street from me. I stop in there from time to time. In addition to their crazy exotics like the FXX, they always have ten to fifteen Land Rover Defenders on hand. They're always really cool about me coming in and poking around, even though most of their cars are way out of my price range.

Unless the rules for the regular FXX have changed since the release of the FXXK, the purchase price is basically just a price of entry to exclusive Ferrari track days, you can't just take it to any track and wring it out. So while that would be fun and all, I still don't think it'd be what I purchased if I had $1.75M to spend on cars.

They probably have the cleanest, most well preserved late-model Benzs and Land Rovers in the US. Very cool they let you oogle their inventory, genuine car guys.

My understanding is that the series has ended for this model and it is now fair game?

Yeah, I'm actually unsure whether the "rules of use" have changed or not. I don't really know where to check, either.

It may be worth a phone call to ask. If the car is on the used market, there has got to be some freedom at this point.

I'm about half an hour away so I want sure it would be worth the drive to check it out. Good to know they're ok with people coming in to look.

It's definitely worth the trip. It's a pretty small place and the majority of their inventory is in a garage area in the back of the dealership. If you ask nicely, they'll gladly let you look around in there though. If you go, stop at Sweet Tomatoes Pizza down the block from there. I worked there for two years, the Pesto Splash Pizza is unreal. In fact, everything they make is amazing.

Thanks for the tip; I'll definitely go there some time.
I looked up Sweet Tomatoes and noticed that they have a location at Northeastern... they seemed to add a bunch of good places to eat a few years after I graduated.
