I've been called for jury duty once, and got picked for the jury. It was a property dispute with damages. Once we got back for deliberations I got made jury foreman and we hashed it out like the deliberations in Runaway Jury .

My wife just got out of a particularly nasty trial as a juror. Husband strangled wife while kids were asleep, then burned her body afted he dropped them off at school. Let me know if you if you need any advice of have any questions.

By the way, if it is a stupid trial (like a traffic incident) you can always guarantee you get out of jury duty by mentioning Jury Nullification. Or you could sneak through and actually nullify the law, and please do if it is a red-light camera trial.
