Is that when you view it from the side, without any badges showing, it looks completely anonymous. I suppose they're building a design language from scratch so it won't look like a Lincoln but am I the only one that thinks this looks a bit generic?

At this point that reminds me of the Ford 500/Taurus. Hope that changes.

I have a sinking feeling that this Lincoln is in fact, a dressed up Taurus and they have learned nothing from decades of failed rebadge jobs.

Give it 5 minutes, someone will be along to tell you how they copied down to the line some forgotten Borgward concept from '62.

My first impression was 'Bentley by Ford'. Which is both perfect and problematic, I think.

It's perfect because that's a good vibe for Lincoln to have - distinctly American and unmistakably luxurious.

It's problematic because it should say 'Lincoln'. But I can excuse it because there isn't really anything positive associated with the Lincoln brand at this point.

In fact, I think it's a good thing because Lincoln needs to develop a some positive signature traits. If they can make the vibe the Continental Concept has a Lincoln signature, I think they can consider themselves successful..

It could also have landaulet bars, but those kind of died out in the early 2000s.

Yeah I get it. I don't see why Lincoln is trying so hard to stray from the past. Linclons did have a certain look to them, and it wasn't really a bad one, even in the 70's an 80's the 90's was a bad time for them, but it was a bad time for all American cars. Their car needs to be a Linclon not a Kia/Audi/Aston hybrid. and It's not like it can't be done I mean look at the 300, it looks unique, stylish, and New, but at the same time is unmistakably American, and unmistakably Chrysler.

I think it looks pretty good. Not a giant fan of the headlights and wheels, but the headlights look kinda cool when they're all on.
