I met the owner and he told me the interior is completely custom and has a few other upgrades as well such as carbon ceramic rotors, new rims, bixenon head lamps
It is a one owner car, has just over 2000 miles and has never been in an accident. Internal components are washed and waxed annually.

"Internal components washed and waxed annually"
Is this somehow better than 5w-30 and we just never knew it?

I'd prefer more miles even if that came with more accidents ….. that thing isn't driven enough.

Those wheels are definitely a downgrade.

HHHHRRRRRNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
I WANT THIS BADDDD
Also, I do want to be clear, the SL73 came stock with the Bi-Xenon headlamps, they're the same as my SL600 Sport (which should be the same for all 97+ R129s in the USA, but I believe 96+ everywhere else).
Also, for anyone who would want to be able to spot this car apart from a "regular" SL600, outside of the badging, the engine bay very clearly has that different plastic trim which should say something along the lines of 7.3 48v. The non amber front turn signals are different...not sure if I really like it or not though.
Based solely on the pictures, it's a 98 or 99 car. It's "custom" in terms of color, from the appearance. The steering wheel and seats look like other 98+ R129s, just not single tone beige, grey or black. The dashboard just has an overlay around the gauges, whatever helps you sleep at night. And finally, waxed internal components? Did the owner have trouble finding the hood latch?
Lastly, those wheels, not good looking. Put the monoblocks back on.
I hope it has a lot of replaced rubber bushings and stuff. My SL600 had a lot of rubber hoses around the engine replaced from dry-rot (nearly 100k miles and a '97), so this thing just sitting all that time? Something will give pretty soon, especially in the suspension, because these are not light cars.
BoxerFanatic, troublesome iconoclast.

One of the last REALLY good looking Mercs.
I wouldn't mind one with just an I6 and a manual gearbox, if it didn't weigh as much as a bank vault. beyond that, they get even heavier, even more complex, and more likely to be an automatic, or this kind of overkill.
