So on top of looking a bit worse for wear, it acts like it too. All weird stuff though, every time I turn it off it turns itself back on, the voice control pops on when it feels like, and it won't work in my pocket.

Gotta love technology.

turning on electronics after they were wet is the worst thing you can do. Put it in rice, leave it off and come back in a day or two and see what happens.

Well, that's a better excuse than ever to buy a new one.

If you're tech savvy and not afraid to fiddle with things you can probably replace that display and glass for <$100, maybe <$50, I'm not sure what those go for. I did the one on my phone for about $40 and was reasonable impressed by how easy it was. That said, my phone is probably a bit more repairable than any Apple product I've ever opened up.

Also, drying it out properly (rice) may improve the functionality. It turning back on when you turn it off suggests there might be a short somewhere.
