Hey, at least it looks like I've done something with it since I got it. We've actually genuinely done a lot to it.

Problems when we bought it:

Airbag light

ABS and Traction Control light

Shot shocks, struts, and mounts

Faded badges

Non-functioning angel eyes

Burnt out third brake light

Bad tie-rods

Leaking power steering line

General ricer mods (plastidip, tint strip, LED underlights

Scarily wired, ugly radio

Sub speakers haphazardly ran through the car to scarily wired radio

Non-functioning side mirrors

Broken glovebox

Non-functioning cruise control

Miscellaneous body flaws due to age, abuse

Misaligned rear bumper

Rust in random places, mostly trunk lid

Missing M3 badge

Burnt out interior lights

Problems now:

No radio

Non-functioning cruise control

Miscellaneous body flaws due to age, abuse, vandalism (fucking assholes at school)

Rust in random places, mostly trunk lid

Two months in and I'm more in love with it than when I bought it. I've put over 1,500 miles on it in that time. We really cut down the list of issues. Really the only "problem" now is the rust issue. It's mostly confined to the trunk lid though, and is surface. Probably could take a sander to it and cover it with paint and it'd be fine.

Some fucker has been denting my hood. I don't know if it's at one of my two schools, or at home, but someone is. Then someone else hit the passenger side rear door with their door and didn't leave a note or anything. Nice little crease in that now.

They do? Awesome, might have to buy some of that.

I've noticed an every increasing amount of dents in my hood. Since I park in the driveway at home which has an insanely sensitive motion activated flood light shining on it, I've ruled it down to being at school. Also a crease on the rear passenger side door that's obviously from another door.

That trim is actually the seal on the lights. Not the most attractive thing in the world I know.

its only some napas that will do this. as theyre each individually owned and managed.

be sure to call ahead and make sure the location youre looking for has the service. i spent an entire day driving around southeastern PA looking for a shop that did it.

but if you do find one... they will indeed mix paint to a code and then load it in a rattlecan for you. i think it was around 10-12 bucks per can.

People are jealous, but damaging someone ride is pathetic. Any chance your school has cameras for the lot?

I haven't used the paint personally yet but a friend said it matched great on his car.

Ah, I see. You gonna rig up a dashcam to catch the one(s) responsible in the act?

The seal kinda goes with the rest of the trim on the car, but it just seems odd how it looks like it should run around the entire headlight, but doesn't.

I know how it feels to be vandalized at school

Some asshole scratched the side of my Mustang. The touch-up looks like shit. Thank god that's the worst condition panel on the car and I plan to either replace it or have it completely worked out of flaws by a body shop eventually, but neither are cheap

Of course we have cameras surrounding the entire school, but not in the lot. I ruled it down to a jealous asshole. I'm sure it being the only BMW in the whole lot has something to do with it too.

My whole car needs a respray honestly. I already needed to buy a new trunk lid and front bumper before I repainted it though, I guess I'll be adding a hood to that list as well. I won't do something until I graduate though because I guarantee the asshole will just do it again to the freshly painted car.

Only BMW but I'm guessing it's full of trucks that are worth quite a bit more that never garner attention. I hate hicks like that. They have dash cams that record even when the cars off. Even a cheap one off eBay should work good enough.

Oh it certainly is. I also park across from a brand new 2015 Volvo all the time, and there's two Hummer H3s and a brand new Acura ILX as well. But everyone equates BMWs with money, no matter the age or price.

Wouldn't those dash cams kill my battery though? That's what I'm worried about.

I'm not well-versed in dashcams myself, but I'd look into external batteries or methods of preventing a complete drain of your M3's battery.

The power draw shouldn't be enough to kill your battery for a couple days, maybe even a week or more. You probably will only need it as a deterrent or until the person you assume doing this gets caught.

I have no idea how to fix the markers, It's all one big unit and that's the seal. Maybe if I tint the headlights or spray paint the insides black it would help!

If I respray I'm thinking either black, the stock silver, or Estoril blue. I'm leaning towards black right now.
