Found this mint 911 in my neck of the woods.

There's nothing quite like an old air cooled Porsche. Spotted in Auburn, WA

She is quite a beaut, I'll give you that. Always love seeing the air cooled Porsches. Hopefully someday their prices will fall back down to Earth (doubtful).

I knew the OP wasn't a ducktail, but I thought that was a whale tail and the tea tray had the black trim curving up around on all sides (not just the back). I defer to your superior Porsche knowledge for reeducation.

Red one is a Carrera Tail(The one I like most), the Blue one is a Tea-Tray and oh fak I didn't not see that first pic. Yeah that's a whale, but it looks like a really freaking early one.

Ah ok. So the bottom picture (with the orange date at the bottom) is the Carrera tail? Or the red one next to the blue one in the top picture?

Ah ok. I've actually never heard of/seen a Carrera tail before. Pretty cool stuff! I think I'm a whale tail guy myself though.

Actually, I'm glad this post provoked a conversation about the different types of Porsche tails, otherwise I wouldn't have learned what a Carrera tail is today!
