my mom needs a bunch of CD's made for a rehearsal (yes I know its primeval, but she doesn't like using her phone or a tablet) and to give to some kids, and so I have to make 15 copies for her, and where she used to work had a DVD/CD duplicator that could make 7 copies at a time, she no longer works there, and so now I have to do it one by one on my laptop dvd drive, and ITS SO FREAKING SLOW, 6 and a half minutes PER CD. ugh, make it end
luckily there are only 15 to do, not like a hundred, I once had to make 100 copies of a DVD, luckily on a DVD duplicator, but still, its a tedious process

Back in the mid 90s I was big into the fansubbing scene. SVHS master to 4 VHS slaves: speed=real time or about 100 minutes for a 4 ep tape. Sometimes I'd get in 70-100 requests in a week if something real popular was out.
Then I'd have to box them up and walk to the post office.
Digital made everything so much better haha.
