But I'm stuck at work. It's 70 degrees out, sunny, and I'd love to just take the Infiniti out, blast some old Brooks and Dunn, open the windows, the sunroof, and just drive through country roads. I'd being going too fast, and it would be just right, because I just want to be in that zone right now.

I can't wait for a fall weekend, with the color-changing leaves where we can just go and drive, and drive, and drive, to nowhere in particular, and just enjoy the countryside. Who's with me?

I love open-air motoring. One of these days I'll get myself a convertible. I might be 75 by the time that happens, but damnit I'll have one.

You're never too old for it. Open air motoring is amazing, whether it's in a Miata (FUN), a 1965 Bonneville convertible (SUPER FUN), or even a Cavalier convertible. (Not as fun, but still semi fun)

A sunroof is good and all, but it just doesn't beat a convertible experience. One day, I'll own a convertible as well. Maybe not for 10-20 years, but once the house is paid off, we'll be far better off financially, and able to look into something like that.

What a world we could live in if winter was gone altogether. I don't want to go through it either, but there's nothing quite so beautiful as driving through backroads, with all the colors of the leaves. It's just so calming, relaxing, and invigorating all at once.

But yes, winter can stay away. We've got cold temps again the next couple days.
