He can't throw a punch at anyone!

I saw a 5 year old in a mall one time throwing a temper tantrum that looked identical to this.

My first thought was that he fights like a girl, but that would be an insult to girls.

I remember when hockey fights were fights.

Those were the days.

That just took care of my productivity for the last 12 minutes. You didn't mess with the Wings in those days. Take a run at Yzerman, say hello to Mr. Probert. Probert is in the box? Hello Mr. Kocur.
Now I have to watch the Wings Avs brawl (again). The most satisfying thing I've ever seen as a Wings fan was watching Roy stand there looking shell shocked, wiping the blood off his face while they cleaned Lemeiux's mess off the boards and ice. One thing I've never seen is footage of that fight with the Colorado announcers. We spent some serious time looking for it this winter too and came up empty.

I think they burned their copy of the tapes. Today is "Turtle Day" if you don't remember.
I remember going to the Joe starting way back in the late 80s. The old Wings/Avs rivalry was some of the best hockey ever.

"I think they burned their copy of the tapes." Best explanation ever! I'm laughing my ass off right now.
Yeah, the late 90's were a damn good time to be a Wings fan, and the Avs were a huge part of that. It was good to have a team that you loved to hate.
The Hawks of the Norris Division era were pretty easy to hate too. They had that Chris Chelios asshole on the team that swore he'd retire before playing for the Wings. It just seems that right now there isn't that team that gives them "must watch" games. Give them a few more years in the East and we'll see what kind of rivalries get started up.

Then there was this gem in the playoffs. The Crawford meltdown with Bowman taking it totally in stride. I think there was another time that Crawford tried going over the glass but Bowman just sat there calmly munching his ice chips.
