I hate crap like that. A new guy started at my company last week. After my boss sent him an email with me Ccd saying that I could explain any aspect of our computer software or put together an action plan or proposal for anything new guy might want to implement within said software, new guy sends me an email asking me to copy and past some shit for him. Really though?

meh it just was on anyways in the background for me. It was easy to hit the volume. I havent seen him in 20 minutes though, maybe he is crying somewhere, hopefully. If he comes back though I can find something more irritating than Bee Gees

hell that was what I grew up on. My first wife was also from "the Valley" in CT so she was steeped on the same. I cannot ever hear Bad Company again without thinking of her trying to stab me. Or Skynnrd, or alot of others.

Both my examples were ones I didn't hear that much (inoculating?) until adulthood, and in adulthood the incredible repetition and combination of self-conscious smugness/"smartness" with unconscious sheer masturbatory *git* embodied in the lyrics of both means they're on my shit list.

I can appreciate a bad lyric - I've certainly listened to enough Foreigner and Steve Miller and others for that - but what I can't stand is a bad lyric that thinks it's a good lyric and ends up even worse. It's the equivalent of those fucking awful "gourmet cookie" assortments people give as gifts that always end up being stale and evil. At least with Sara Lee you know what you're getting into.
