If you are in NY this might be an auction worth visiting. It will be taking place in April on the 25th located in Middletown. I am frankly jealous I live too far away to go to this auction. Among the cars auctioned off will be:

1954 Kaiser Darren

1969 Corvette 427

1914 Dodge Brothers Open Touring

1941 Chrysler New Yorker

1957 Bel Air

1966 Dodge Charger Big Block

The list goes on and on and on. There are two separate collections that will be auctioned off at this estate sale. I wish their was a juicer story to go with it. One owner was big Dodge Collector and the cars look to be in amazing condition. Here is more info and pictures:

"Barn find" does not mean what these people think it means, apparently.

That Vette might be numbers matching, but it's sure not stock. They list the 427 block casting number, which is good, but don't mention VIN matching.

A 307 2-door Nova is hardly rare.

It has turned in to a meaningless marketing phrase like "all natural".

It was stored in a barn and now it is auctioned off at an estate sale. Not the most riveting barn find story but I think it qualifies.

I figured you would like that one.

I would hope it isn't stock. No run should screw with a stock 427. Those lights are a bit of a mess on the car.

But "barn find" is supposed to imply that nobody really knew it was there because it was covered in hay and chicken shit not "this guy died who kept his car collection in the outbuilding of his rural-ish home and now his heirs are having an estate sale. "

It is an odd car among the list. The 70/80s cars like this are hard to find in good shape because they were just so disposable.

odd enough I see alot of cream puff Alliance verts. like not a whole lot, but the ratio of beaters to puffs is pretty low. and I have no idea why because they were junk

Yeah that is true. It would make for a lot more interesting story if that was how these cars were found and sold off. But nevertheless it was a find of sorts of a massive collection.

Cute, small, cheap, and convertible would be my bet.

Oh it's cool and all; I love collection stories as much as true barn find stories.

A little of everything at least makes for a unique driving experience.
