...Replacing Clarkson on Top Gear. It's all rumours of course, but I think I would watch that. Thy'd probably have to find new co-hosts too though since I doubt May and Hammond would stay if Clarkson goes.

I think my girlfriend would be more interested in the show if they hired that Chris Evans instead...

Not a bad choice either. He did something where he tried to break some kind of speed record on a bicycle. Dude is a nutcase, but an entertaining nutcase.

That was the "SPEED: With Guy Martin" series, an eight-episode program where he went after different records with a series of vehicles. He set the British speed record for a bicycle (112 mph), longest distance over water on a motorcycle, fastest human powered aircraft, fastest downhill sled, furthest distance traveled by a tandem bike over 24 hours (something like 550 miles, it was nuts), won his class at Pikes Peak on a custom-built Frankenstein turbo bike, set the British record for fastest hovercraft, and attempted (set?) the record for fastest gravity racer. He also has a '67 Volvo Amazon wagon that has done over 205 mph, and a Merlin engine on a trailer that he just likes to wheel out of his shop and run from time to time so he can hear it (he's also working to restore a crashed WWII Spitfire). I've started following him over the past year and he's a hell of a petrolhead and speed freak. I'd love to see him host a car show, and if there's an opening at TG I think he'd be a hilarious fit.

I need to watch this series, that all sounds excellent. Him, Chris Evans and Sabine Schmidt would make a hell of an oddball, and therefore entertaining, trio. It'd be very unlikely to happen though.

Chris Evans, by his own admission, isn't really a car guy. And he's a bit annoying. Not sure how that would work.

I personally don't find him annoying and he has at least some level of interest in cars considering his love of Ferrari. It's probably not guna happen either way though.

I doubt it would ever happen. He and Clarkson are friends.

I think it's unlikely, it's just one of the better candidates for the job.
