Not Cool enough for the front page.

Last time I checked I've been posting on oppo and being a part of the community for over a year now . However I get the grey box around my txt on the front page ... Hoping , Dreaming , Wishing for a approval. This is very aggravating when I have something genuine to add to the conversation.

Surely Jalopnik doesn't have a cool table like the lunch room .... Surely the front page isn't like the back of the bus. I mean I smoke cigarettes !!! come on I'm cool ! Can't I hang out with yall on the front page ?

Let's put it this way: Oppo isn't the back of the bus, it is, in fact another bus altogether. A short one. We do have a cool kids' row on the short bus, so there's that.

I am the same, there is just no incentive for me to comment on the FP. Fuck, if I try, I am sure that Jezebel will let me out of the greys faster than Jalopnik. And to think that I was approved before Kinja, by the one and only Ray Wert makes it even sadder.

Even if you get out of the gray, unless you post a reply to an FP article in like the first 15-20 minutes it's up, nobody's going to see it anyway. Nobody scrolls through all the buried-by-kinja replies.

Your right. I can sniff all the paint I want and eat all the free steak I can get here on Oppo but it's just not the same. I guess what I'm trying to say is . It would be nice to be able to comment on these topics they post about each day without having to be approved. Its like asking your friends mom if they can come out to play but your friend is a 25 year old white male that pays his own bills , has his own car , and wipes his own ass..
