This is the driver side corner of my Grand Cherokee's front bumper. This crack recently appeared out of nowhere. There's a scuff mark there too, but it's kinda blending in with the salt since it snowed this morning.
I'm guessing someone backed into it and either didn't notice our didn't care. Dammit. I know a good body shop that specializes in plastic bumper repairs, so it'll likely be cheap enough to make it not worth filing an insurance claim. Still, I'm far from thrilled that some stupid asshole is going to cost me a couple hundred bucks.

Or you could make it JDM and do some mad cable-stitching.

my money is that they probably noticed, could have cared, didn;t want to deal with it.
could you find 1 at a junk yard?
i had to change my tire in boston, left the jack in the parkinglot. they didn;t have an explorer jack I took a grand cherokee's. I guess it doesn;t matter as long as the weight capabilitiy is right

depending on how much you care, you could fix it yourself, I have done so in the past with excellent results. certainly good enough that noone would notice it in an out of sight place such like the lower part of the bumper

That is...much more time and effort than I'm willing or able to commit.

should be noted my first attempt was on another car and never came out right, but likely because I started with metal instead of handy zip ties

It will have "character" for a while, since my first priority is to take care of my oxygen sensor issue , and the body shop that does the plastic bumper repairs usually books like a month in advance.

I've given up keeping my plastic bumpers nice. Also, cosmetics in general.

Honestly, it's worth the likely couple hundred bucks it'll cost to fix to just have it done at the place I know. I'm not in a huge rush to have it fixed, but I'd like to at some point.

Perfect for my stock ride height and 1"-taller-than-stock tires.

I might be able to find one in a junk yard, but I didn't have any luck on a nationwide car-part.com search, and my green is a pretty rare color. So if I found one in a junkyard, I'd likely need it to be painted anyway, which would cost more than just fixing up my bumper.

I'm not too concerned about it looking perfect, since it's a 10 year-old Jeep that I drive through snowy Wisconsin winter. But I made an effort to buy a 10 year-old Jeep in as good shape as possible, and I'm trying to maintain it as best as possible, within reason.
I've got a Google Drive folder with a document where I track all the work I put into it, plus all my receipts, which I can show to prospective buyers when it's time to get rid of the thing.

I don't know what bumper that is you posted, but the ARB bumper for the WK Grand Cherokee is like $1400. The Jeep is just my slightly-overkill winter/utility vehicle and doesn't see serious off-roading, so I'm not going to drop that kind of money on a bumper. Price aside, to me, a big ole armored bumper on what will remain a mostly stock Jeep seems silly.
