Summer Tires on, Last day with my FoST

Bittersweet day for sure. I'm trading in my 2013 Focus ST for a 2012 Wrangler Sport. Put my stock summer tires back on (and immediately hit a big pot hole..... No damage though). Here's two pictures.

While I'm looking forward to the Wrangler, the FoST is the first car I've owned from brand new, so it's got a special place in my heart, and I hope the next owner appreciates it as much as I did.

I'm selling my winter setup- so if any of you FoST (or Ford guys in general I think?) are interested in 16" Taurus Steelies w/ Michelin X-ICE tires + TPMS and the P71 (police) center caps, let me know. Also getting rid of my All weather floor mats.

Do you think you'll miss the driving experience of the ST? The wrangler is good at what it does but it seems like it'd be a fair bit less enjoyable on the road.

I no-doubt will miss it. But I won't miss the constant anxiety of potholes to be honest. It's a fantastic car, and a BLAST to drive in the summer.

That's why I'm kinda thankful I drive a tank, hit a pothole, oh no big deal it wasn't too big right?

I'll say that going from a hot hatch to a Jeep is quite the change though.

I can relate to that. My car is lowish for an econobox and has small wheels, so it crashes into potholes and the underside of the front bumper looks like someone took a beltsander to it.

So... sporty hatchback for the winter, then as soon as it gets nice enough to actually enjoy the sporty hatch, trade for a car that's good for offroad/winter.

Do a report on the Wrangler after you drive it for a bit, I'm curious to see how it compares. Obviously the two aren't really comparable, but they do get cross-shopped I'd imagine as a "fun" vehicle.

How much are you selling the winter setup for? I'd love to have the steelies and the P71 centercaps for autocross for my Fusion, but have no need for the winter tires, lol. There's no snow at the beach!

wrangler doors and roof come off. a good bit more fun in the summer imo
