Okay all listen very carefully to this story. I work with a very old lady whose husband died two years ago. They had no kids by their marriage. She did have two daughters by a previous marriage and right after her husband died one of her daughters got sick and recently died. Because she is by herself she didn't have the time to try and sell the car after her husband died she didn't sell the car right away Its a 1980 Nissan 280 ZX 2+2 5 speed with 30K original miles. Her husband drove it on occasion and was very meticulous with who serviced it. It sits in a garage, and I saw it for myself, it is almost pristine. It needs tires as they look new but are weather cracked. Here's the kicker, she hasn't started it in two years. I suspect its okay but you'll probably need to have it serviced and drain the gas. Because she's by herself she's asked me to act as a go between (not making a dime of this). So we have a good idea of what its worth so if interested and make a offer to me and I will go to her. If she's interested in your offer we'll arrange a meeting to see the car. No tire kickers or dealers. Trust me this car is unbelievable. Why, she has a 2002 Miata right new to it with 33K miles on it that still has the new car smell (sorry not for sale).
Words from Poppa-Ender. My old man isn't kidding, this is an absolute time capsule. If you're dead serious, then I can put you in touch with the lady selling it but be damn serious about this. I don't want to be sending her a bunch of tire-kickers on behalf of my father. Spread the word to BAT if you want to.

It would need to be listed for sale with a price to get it on BaT, but I would maybe suggest a BaT auction. It would get it in front of a lot of people, and is a better way to go then say ebay or craigslist for a car like that.

This would be a great BaT no reserve auction. Buyers will want to see what's under the dash mat. I'm thinking this is like a 10-15k car??

Bottom line is 10k. She's one of those tough old ladies who drives a hard deal.

Correction: 10k if they can get it to start and run again.

This 79 280 w/19k miles just sold for 15K today on BaT auctions. Dont see why yours couldnt do similar as long as it was running.
