Tank Game from 10-12 years ago

My friends and I was talking about old games we used to play.

There was this rudementary tank game, it had different tanks, but the biggest thing I remember was the UI. It kinda took over the bottom of the screen.

You'd fight on maps that had hills and everything. It was basic but then again, alot of games from that era were.

You'd play as a team, alot of the maps had these structures to drive up on and down on.

I think, one of the maps was all hills, up or down. With there being a flat part in between all the hills.

There was a line drawing of the tank in the UI at the bottom, it was a multiplayer game.

If someone could help me to remember that old game from like 97-99 i'd give you 10 internet boxes of girls scout cookies.

No this was multiplayer.

I remember in the UI at the bottom being a line drawing of your tank to show damage.

Found it, it was Tanarus..

Evidently for a game released in 97, the servers were up until 2010.

I'm downloading a patch to play it offline. I remember that old game fondly.

Having to go to school and be good, so I didnt get grounded and the computer taken away. As a consolation, at least Dungeon Keeper and DK2 are still working on Win7 easily. Oh well, just wish I would have remembered it in time to still play online with other people.

I thought you were talking about another one, iron fist or something? I remember you could drive a bradley and had AA missiles because there were choppers. You should shoot them down with your main gun too which was awesome
