I'm scanning some pictures I've found, and one has a reddish tinge on the bottom third and also up the sides. For the life of me I can't figure out how to fix it. Any suggestions?

Can you post it? You might have to dig into the color balance and try dialing out the offending color. There may also be an auto color balance option that will help. Also, try rotating the image on the scanner. You never know. (I'm no specialist.)

The picture itself is like this; I think we used one of those disposable cameras.

Are you scanning from negative, or does the print look like this to begin with?

The print looks like that. I have no idea where the negatives are; I just happened to find these pics from my graduation while cleaning.

Oooohhh. I thought it was scanning that way. I'm still no expert, but it looks to me like something has gone haywire with the chemicals over time. Crop it off and be done.
