this came up today in Maine, I am in love. Guy is looking for a number on it and it is currently somewhere around $1500 on a Saab group. Doesn't look like a whole lot of rust on it, was running and driving a few years ago

I would say it is. When all is said and done the 505 is a pretty basic design (a clever one at that, though), that was meant to be rugged against rural, or even colonial roads, and doesn't ask you or your mechanic too many tough questions. I'm not sure the same can be said about Saabs....
