As a Denver, CO inhabitant and a self proclaimed "front ranger" I visit the I70 corridor for skiing, hiking and biking quite frequently. In my past few trips up to Eagle County, I've passed a ragged old 280Z tooting around Beaver Creek/Vail. This one was a bit different that your average stanced out, unsafe at any speed, rotsun the car community has grown accustomed to... Well, I finally managed to snag a couple pictures of it without looking like a stalker so here they are.
It's rockin' beefy 60 series light truck tires, no front bumpoer/splitter and a stripped interior. Given Colorado's broken up road conditions, epic dirt roads and gravel vs. salt snow melting practices, I think the rally Z is the perfect summer car/winter project for the environment. My old 510 was getting absolutely massacred on the roads in Denver and having a bit more tire/idgaf attitude would suit me well.
Off to Craigslist, anyone want a 1997 4runner?

Man, I wish I'd gotten a job in Colorado instead of Illinois. It's such a better state. Plus, it's nice to have family you can go visit that live in a giant house in Beaver Creek. lol

I so hope that this guy shows up and posts pics of it flying up Pikes Peak from back before it was paved.

Yeah replacing glass from a 40 year old car every season would get tiring.
