TL;DR: Chevrolet fucked up the rear alignment (which is embarrassing). Re tested at Big Willow and it put down a 1:25.00, beating the previous time of 1:25.70 by the GTR.

Yes but they didn't reverse the ruling on the NISMO being better. Which I wanna see the rematch.

That sort of alignment stuff has happened before; the pre-production Viper GTS that they used in their C6 ZR1 vs. Viper GTS comparo apparently had a bad alignment (I think it was in the rear right).

I'd still take the Z06, even when it was 2 seconds a lap slower. It just has more character than a GTR ever will

I'll take speed. I have ridden in a '12 GT-R and drove a C5. I'll take the GT-R all day. That speed is too much.

I've driven a C6 ZR1. More than enough speed. Also I'm pretty sure the Z06 was faster than the GTR in a straight line and out of corners. And it was faster around the track with the proper alignment

Now the Zr1 might be a fun ride, I'm sure the GT-R still was faster in the straight but not in the corners.

This throws a lot more variables into play instead of same day driving. A fully retest is really needed.
