The Jeep Dakar. A LWB, fixed roof, 4 door TJ with a roof rack. The Africa concept is nothing new.
Now that I think about it, Giles and FCA need to put the crazies from Jeep's skunkworks crew in charge of the brand. I present the 2020 Jeep lineup:
1) the Jeep DHC.
Which is short for Dual Hellcat.
2) the Rescue. Built on the Dodge 2500 platform, 60's f/r. The H2 was for suburbanites.
3) Nukaiser 2015. Because fuck you, my daddy served in Vietnam. Besides, the m715 is FAR more badass than the already badass Gladiator.
4) Nukaiser 2025. Because we already have the 2015, so why not?
5) FC. Jeep needs to be in the commercial market, and nobody has a 10' bed right now.
6) Jeep Treo. Because CAFE.
7) Grand Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer...

If jeep had a commercial line up with the nukizer and the fc, they would make a killing. The fc would be fantastic. They must really hate money. I hate looking at jeep's concepts because they don't hint at anything. They are all just fuck yous to everyone.

It looks like a TJ and first gen Liberty got locked in a closet, played 15 minutes of paradise with eacother and this is the result. Surprisingly, a very handsome offspring.

The biggest issue with most of these are safety standards. They would need to completely redesign them to meet bumper height and crash-test standards, which says nothing of pedestrian safety standards.
Just about all of these could be re-named The Decapitator, which would make their names significantly more accurate.
That said, I want a fixed-roof Wrangler with a panoramic glass sunroof.

Jeep really does have a history of producing amazing concepts that get people excited, then producing the same shit every year. Their last great development was to put an extra two doors on a jeep. People have been clamoring for a jeep pickup since they got rid of the Comanche, there is no reason why they can't produce one. Make it be a truly small pickup (5-6' bed) with a focus on off road capability, and it shouldn't poach customers from Ram.
