Saw one yesterday parked in Auckland. Always thought they were only available in red. Was that an OEM thing? Or aftermarket?

They were OEM in Europe, but what you saw was most likely an Ebay Special.
Edit: Auckland is not in America, it's in NZ. I'm an idiot. Does NZ require amber turn signals? If so, the clear lights were probably OE

Only seen white/clear ones on the cars here in Europe, I think the red ones look better.

Could be a Region thing like with the Mustang in Europe.

Definitely aftermarket.

Yeah it looked a bit weird, especially on a grey car. And I never seen a CTS in France before, so that might explains it.

I think the reason it looks weird is because the third brake light is still red.

- Cadillac CTS
- Clear taillights
- New Zealand
Yep, that's OEM. Just checked Autotrader New Zealand, and the only CTS on there with red taillights is a CTS-V that appears to be a US-spec import.
The rest have clear ones, which must mean they're OEM, just like in Europe.

There was an option package in America for clear tails from the factory, but it included a clear 3rd brake light. That could be an aftermarket special, or Europe got clear tails and a red 3rd brake light. Though those don't look like the clear ones offered in America.

Its one of the differences between US and export vehicles. Some US owners found a way to acquire them, but they're all OEM.

Did not know that. Wow. I like the look. (although it may look a little Autozone here)

They look ridiculous.

LEDs don't need a tinted lens to project color.

That looks pretty effin hideous.

Most of the world requires orange indicators, including NZ!

People actually buy these things?
