Agreed, too bad the sheet metal was writing checks the interior couldn't cash. All fixed today, though.

Yeah, the center stack was pretty bad. Reminds me of a late eighties/early nineties PC tower. Also had GM's famous peeling button syndrome.
The CTS-V's steering wheel, gauges and seats were alright though...

GM would have made things so much easier on themselves if they hadn't cheaped out on the plastics. They spent all that time and all that money on an excellent chassis and a great engine and a great body, and then pinched pennies on the details. They totally rectified it on the later models, but, still, that set them back a few years, at least.

There is just so much black plastic on the interior, and that's where most of your time is spent while driving. Add 10 years of wear and tear and that's a bad combo. Plus, I have no idea why the airbag cover needs to double as a nail file. Just the interior would be a deal breaker for me personally.
