Post-race will be up shortly, just finishing up the numbers. And tbh I don't really know how to tune suspension, I actually picked the Alfa so I wouldn't have to deal with all that lol. Might just Google it or ask one of the other dudes and they'll help you out.

Ah gotchya. Yea I don't really know how to tune either. I usually just add more camber because camber equals race car? maybe?
Generally I just try and make the times you post. Really scientific.

I usually tune for oversteer..
Which means, around 1.5° of negative camber, front and back. I usually go about .8° toe OUT, and adjust rack angle higher, 5.5-6.
For damping and spring rebound, and since i tune for oversteer, I'll decrease front lb/in and increase rear lb/in. I do the same for bump stiffness. You don't want to go overboard, but 10 lb/in will be noticeable. Go from there. I also decrease front sway bar stiffness, and increase rear.
Add the differential, and you can tune towards acceleration or speed. Since these cars hardly get the most out of 6th gear in stock form, tune towards acceleration, and bring 6th gear back in to the picture.
Play around with tire pressure in .5 psi increments to figure out what you like best.
Also, im not an expert.. This is just the basic formula I've used for this series. It makes cars that handle poorly handle well if you can get the balance right.

Be on at around 9 and you should be fine, that half hour was supposed to be a buffer for connection problems and stuff like that. We originally started at 9 exactly and it's been getting worse and worse as the season goes on.

You can just read the summaries explaining what tunes to understeer and what tunes to oversteer and just tune to oversteer and turn in. It makes a world of difference, especially with the Trans-Am pony cars. They handle like trains.

Hasn't been much ironing out lately though, I'm afraid. Been far too busy with schoolwork to do any building/testing. The most concrete thing developed so far is an idea for Early Le Mans car racing ( World Sportscar Championship ), with a little bending of the rules to allow for similar cars of the era like the C1 Corvette and the AC Cobra. I have some cars already built and uploaded to the club garage if you want to try them. There hasn't been much tossed about between Corey and myself except ideas for "Classic Indycar" using the Ferrari 312 P and a "new Indycar" using the Chevy Orecas (or maybe Radical SR8s?). New DTM was also an idea that was tossed around. Problem with those last three is that it involves using R2-R1 cars, and not everyone is good with those. Plus, it doesn't leave much room for the rebalancing type of thing we've been doing this season. Also, cars be expensive, yo.
I've also given thoughts about classic DTM, but I haven't developed anything for that yet. I have some of the individual cars from when I did something similar in back in Group J, but they're all B500, and I think it should be around A550 or higher to include some of the other cars used (or more specifically one: that darned Lotus Carlton, i.e. Opel Omega. Fkn powered-up engine doesn't leave much tuning available at B500...).

I'm kinda glad I'm going to miss this race because those curbs would absolutely destroy my BMW. It would be worse than Road Atlanta.
In other news, I have a new router. Solved the internet problems with the computers, but I haven't tried it on the xbox yet.

We actually had an R3 GT car series last year that worked pretty well, only problem was we couldn't really do BoP adjustments since there really aren't that many upgrade options for race cars. We haven't yet decided on what we'll use in the next series so S might be interesting, like a supercar series or something.

I thought there had been. You could always do an R3 series and not limit it to just GT cars. Perhaps have a shakedown race or 2 to see how the GT cars compare to the "normal" cars. I know i have several non-GT cars that can keep pace with my GT cars.

We definitely could, we'd just have to make sure the cars were balanced performance-wise, not just time-wise; the non-racecars would have to be much faster in a straight line to keep up in the corners, which might be non-ideal depending on how severe the speed differential is (I know even in these series some of the racers are annoyed that they catch up to cars in the corners and then get their doors blown off in the straights). Could always just do non-GT cars but we've got three months before these series end so we can do plenty of testing between now and then...

Definitely, I'll get an invite sent out later tonight. If you want to do build some cars for us to test out after our Friday night practice you can share them to the club garage and we can see how they work in an actual online lobby.

Yeah it's so much better than just racing computers all the time, especially when you get a group of people who actually want to race clean and fairly. Also I sent out the invite so just accept it and you should be good to go.
