And I was told that the German paint is way better than American paint...

Say what you want about him, but Jeremy's car choices are pretty spot on.
4C and this is pretty much the best way I can think about spending $200k on new cars.

I saw a new Stingray at Cars and Coffee and it had a ton of orange peel too.
Robots can't paint shit, but It's not like a two stage acrylic job is stunning to begin with...

I personally don't like the interior of the new S-Class nor do I even like the new 4C in general; the Cayman and F-Type Coupe are miles better than a 4C.. If I had the money to spend on two cars right now, with a $200k budget: 991 GT3 and BMW 335i..

I hate this about new cars especially fancy ones. I saw a Ferrari F12 costs $300,000 something and had orange peel like you would not believe. In my refinishing course a proper painter should know how to properly match a panel repair to the orange peel of the original finish in essence know the proper way to screw up a paint job to match the original screw up paint.

It does feature a lot, yeah. I was just ribbing at those people, usually on the FP, who claim that the Euro cars have better paint, less orange peel, etc. Maybe if this was the year 1995, but it's not. I think the only way you get amazing paint is if you've got $300,000+ to spend on a car so-equipped from the factory or if you've got $8,000+ to spend on a paint job for your existing car.

Not as clean an interpretation of the Dino 'look' as the Alfa. Also too fast for North America.

The F-Type and Cayman are great all-round cars and either would be on my list provided I could only have a single car. But the Alfa is lighter and more 'pure', and the Merc is more cosseting.
GT3 - again, great choice. 335i's (435i's?) have never done much for me though.

I've driven a few BMWs so far, including an M6, but the 335i is just perfect though; perfect size, amazing performance, with all the bells and whistles you would ever want.
I've also driven F-Types and a Porsche Cayman before and they were absolutely amazing. Haven't driven a 4C yet, but I'm on the waiting list for a test drive... just can't see how it can be any better with a turbo charged 4 banger..

Family had an E92 335i when it came out. It never clicked with me. No sense of occasion or something. Ironically I'm actually trying to talk my father out of a new 4 and into a 981 for the same reason.
Not driven an F-Type but assume it's similar to the Aston V8 I did.

The F30 335i its just a good all around daily driver imo.. I have yet to actually see a better interior or better tech in a competing car..
My best friend has this 2014 335i xDrive M Sport with pretty much every option you could think of; such an amazing car. I was a little skeptical about the four wheel drive system at first, but you can just literally put down your foot around corners and you are just going around them even faster. The tech is really nice as well.. Heads Up Display with navigation vectors, top down parking cameras, just to list a few..
But I get the sense of occasion argument.. its just when a car works this well, its hard to beat; its just like an iPhone: it may be a bit bland compared to other smart phones, but shit, it works! ;-)
I have not got my hands on a Aston before, so it could be. I first drove the Coupe R- 550hp, 500 torque; its a little too much; way too fast, way too loud, and a little heavy.
Then a few months later I drove the V6S; so much better. It's down on power and torque considerably but its still stupid fast. It also feels a lot lighter and while its not as loud as the V8s it sounds even better. The V6S Coupe is the one I'd have..

Wouldn't be too surprising, considering he's got an SL65. Also could be a loaner car (this was probably mentioned already).
