Not really useful, but a fun fact nonetheless.. in Norway (and a few other countries) W is a consonant, not a vowel and translates to double V.

Cornish and Welsh.. I'm sure there are others, Polish use almost similar to how English uses W I think. I was somewhat distracted when I wrote that and messed up, what I meant was that we always pronounce the W, in English the W sometimes ends up silent (as in wreck, wrap, wrench and so forth).
