That's actually the polarizing film grid. Every LCD I've encountered has one. I can't explain why it's been installed on a slight bias on this watch though. I'm guessing the angle was chosen so that it's still readable if a person has on polarized sunglasses.

Very sad indeed. Last night I went to my TV to watch my illegally downloaded DVR'd (yeah that's it) version. Then I realized it did not air.
Side note, how do you like the moto360?
