Only needs to gain 6 on him to tie. All signs point to "yes". Hope Alonso's ride gives him a legit shot at the podium, next year if not this one...

I wouldn't bet against it.

Most likely, yes. Much as I like Nico, of the two, I think Lewis is clearly the stronger and more tenacious driver. Had it not been for reliablity problems last year, that championship would not have gone down to the last race.
The Ferrari looks improved and I think they and Williams could snag a win when Mercedes have some reliability issues. Hopefully the other teams and engine manufacturers can make some gains throughout the year but for now Mercedes looks to dominate again.

Already looks like he'll pass Vettle and Senna. But Hamilton is still a prick nonetheless

Harris' article on Hamilton and Rosberg was very telling about the differences between the two drivers.

As much as Senna was? Ha! [flamesuit enabled] I think your ego almost has to be limitless to have great success at the top of this sport.

Indeed, that was a good read. I read something somewhere about Nico practicing a new breathing technique in the off-season in his relentless quest for improvements. Nico is a very impressive and accomplished individual, he works very hard for everything and has earned every opportunity and success he has had.
That said, while he works hard himself, Hamilton is more naturally talented and confident in his ability. This confidence sometimes (ok, often) comes off as arrogance but it's difficult to argue with his results. He is a more aggressive driver, which has makes him fast. This tenacity caused him to make some mistakes early in his career and still does occasionally but he's matured significantly though his career and is deserving of the titles he's earned.

There is no doubt that he will overtake him.. The question will be when, considering that Rosberg is right behind him at every corner..
