Does anyone else have a problem with how similar the v6 and the hellcat challenger look alike?
Here is a V6 challenger, looks fairly nice right? Now look at the hellcat below it
i don't know about you guys but if I saw these two cars parked next to each other I would have no clue which one is the hellcat besides the "SRT" and "hellcat" badge on the front. The only visible differences are the hood, wheels(which are usually changed for aftermarket ones), and a slightly larger spoiler. Of course the hellcat has its hollow front ring that sucks in air but you can't tell that's there from 15ft back. What I want to know is why do people praise the hellcat for looking amazing when with under $1,000 you can make a v6 look exactly the same? Even now anyone who isn't an enthusiast cannot tell the difference. Let's take the v6 mustang and gt500 to see how they vary.
And now a gt500 with a v6 in the background
Huge difference. Gt500 has an entire different front end grille, lower grille, hood. Huge noticeable different compared the v6 challenger and hellcat challenger. Its very obvious to tell a gt500 from a v6 or even a GT mustang. Do you guys agree with me or am I just totally wrong, let me know in the comments.

Well since that is a pre-2015 V6, it's pretty easy to tell it isn't a Hellcat. But the Hellcat has a special hood, with three scoops. The wheels, which I'm sure are more than $1k, are different. The Scat Pack gets the air holes in the lights, so that is a distinguished feature.

Your "V6 Challenger" is actually a Mopar Challenger with a 5.7l Hemi.
This is a 2015 V6 Challenger.
Very different from the Hellcat.

Nope. I prefer it that way. Speak softly and carry a big stick.

I think the brakes and wheels on the Hellcat alone, along with the stance would create a more distinguishable appearance than you think. That said, this is pretty common for cars that share a nameplate. The average person won't be able to differentiate a 3er/m3, a5/s5, a8/s8, 458/specialie, etc..

My thought:
If your buying a musclier car for distinction your buying cars wrong.
I love the Challenger, and I love the Hellcat challenger. Sexy car in any trim. And if I had the Hellcat I probably don't want everyone on the road to know that I blew Hellcat money on a Hellcat and not $26k on a V6.

I will be honest. Apart from badging I struggled to tell the difference between trim models on all the muscle cars.

Tell that to everyone who asks if my 2014 V6 is a Hellcat. I get that all the time.

How? The grill is completely different, the rear is completely different, the stance is different, the lights are different, the hoods are different, etc.

You're asking me?
Probably because they saw a picture of a Hellcat once, and my SXT has two doors just like the HC does. People don't pay attention to details.

Oh no, I know the difference. I guess people pay no attention to details. You should just play it off.

Sometimes I do. Depends on how much time I want to waste with them. Usually that's not much.
