"Phyrxes once again has a wagon!" (phyrxes)

The Mrs. and I are upgrading our smartphones here soon (currently running Razr Maxx HDs) and the I'm thinking the S6 for the Mrs. and I'm debating the S6 Edge, S6, or Nexus 6. Anybody with a Nexus 6 care to chime in or anybody else with thoughts.
Difficulty: Verizon

Unlikely to occur given the lack of Apple products in our house.

I have a Nexus 5. It's pretty cool.

I'll just say this: if you are looking for a good, reliable, easy to use phone, look no further..

If you can still get a new Nexus 5, don't bother with the 6

I've had my Nexus 6 for a month and a half now. It's a pretty solid phone. What do you want to know about it?

Damn Verizon! I have a number of phones to suggest but I can't because Verizon.
I have a phone from an obscure brand with a 6.1 inch screen and I'm sure it lasts twice as long as the Nexus 6. The thing about the Nexus 6 is it has ridiculous specs with a huge screen. All that needs a huge battery, which it doesn't really have. Android 5.1 might fix that however. If you're into modding, a new kernel or ROM might suffice.
That's all I've got.

if you can get a nexus 5, do it. Otherwise the S6 or s6 edge is probably your best bet. I would recommend the one plus one, as it's definitely a great phone, but as you said, Verizon.

The S6 really pisses me off. It's a good looking phone, but they killed what made their previous phones great: removable battery, water resistant (The S5 is), and expandable memory. The S6 has none of these things and has become an iPhone clone in the process.
The only phone I would recommend in the current batch of new phones is the HTC One M9. The camera is improved from the M8, it still doesn't have a removable battery, but at least it offers a microSD slot.

Interesting, the last time I had an HTC phone was a Thunderbolt and that was a phone I was glad to be rid of. As we have a 4 month old the Mrs. is looking for something with a decent camera and is not a "phablet." Something I can drop her 32 gig SD card into is probably a good plan.

Droid Turbo. Battery that can last me til bed time on the second day and is as close to stock as you will get for a non nexus phone. It's the smaller nexus 6 with a bigger battery. I have the ballistic nylon and I love it. Someone just figured out root if that tickles your fancy.

There is no Nexus 6 on Verizon.
I'm not much of a Samsung fan.
Get a Droid Turbo. It's as close as you'll get to a Nexus 6 on Verizon, unless Verizon finally gets around to actually selling the Nexus 6. Same guts, smaller screen, basically.

I thought my OnePlus One was big but the Nexus 6 takes it to another level.

My head must be under a rock. I've been too busy managing my office renovation (which isn't my job, really) to keep up with my tech news.
