While my want is unlimited, my bank account is not. These will die an honorable death on the tracks of the northeast. ...then, there will be others.

Are you running a square 275 setup? I've been thinking about moving that direction.

Oh yes... I'm not sure how much I'll get to the track this year, but we've got a backroadtrip on the calendar for the middle of next month.

I was gonna say "Oppo, I did a [sticky] thing" but then I grossed myself out.

Yes, 275 square on Apex ARC-8 18x10 et 25. Car is a 2009 E90 M3. Previous tire was AD08s in 265/35/18. I haven't stacked them side by side yet (will post a pic of that yields interesting results), but I expect there to be a lot more rubber on these. The AD08s are wide, but these are wiiiiiiiiiidddddddeee. I hope they clear my suspension... lol

I saw you mentioned that. IT BEGINS! =D

Your BRTs are the best. Lol.

Hahaha, I'm fairly glad you didn't use that headline... I'm sure more than one person would've "found it offensive".. lol

That is a LOT of sticky rubber, matched with nice wheels. I'd love to rock a set of those on my race rubber. The drive will be noticeable different I'm sure, but so will turning. I'm running on stock size (285/45/19 rear and 245/35/18 front), and REALLY want to go square just like yours. Same size too, my only issue is instead of the suspension fitment is rotor/caliper fitment. Only some 18s with the right offset work, which just makes it more expensive to find what I really want.

Will you be shredding the old tires? or is that already done; definitely get some footage of your track or autoX sessions. I'd love to see those

You have 18s up front and 19s rear in those sizes...hmm. And you're worried about caliper clearance on 18s. Corvette or Ferrari? =P

I'm sure if you call a racing wheel manufacturer (whether Apex or someone else) who makes wheels that work with your lug pattern they can just tell you what clears the calipers. These racing wheel companies have seen every conceivable setup. It's shocking how proficient they are at recommending fitment solutions, even with aftermarket suspension, BBKs and whatever else.

I have tons of track video, all in-car. No Auto-X for me. Never did like cones lol. If you watch/listen here starting at the 13 minute mark (should start playing there) you can hear what happened to my old tires.

11 of us this year! It's getting out of hand...

My car plus track-prepped and supercharged Z4M, 700 RWHP C6 Corvette, S2000, Cayman, Shelby Cobra, heavily modified Camaro SS, GTI, and a motorcycle or two.

We've got guys coming up from San Antonio, one from Midland and one from Canada!

I'm a dummy, it's 19's front and back :) but yeah I can't fit most 18's.. Neither tho! Just a 370z nismo :D

I'm really considering giving them a call, but I know they're going to run me an eye and a leg, which is why I'm taking it slow. I've recently purchased an exhaust, and a set of All-Seasons (did you know those things are STOOPID expensive at 285 size? lol) so I'm working up the wallet and Cc so I can afford the next purchase. Divorce doesn't help the bills either. slowly but surely I'll get myself the rubber, I'm thinking RE11's or something equivalent. I hadn't considered the ones you have, but seeing the thread and design I'm very interested on seeing how they perform.

So it was the lack of feedback then huh? I love how the instructor reacts when you give it a dab of go-pedal and slide a bit. Awful friendly too. Where was this at? If you don't mind I might watch all your vids haha. I love watching in-car videos of track runs, helps analyze technique and lines, etc.

Ha! Yeah, a good friend that used to work with us here and took a transfer to Calgary. Flying back just for that weekend, if that tells you anything about how much of a good time we have.

That's SW Missouri, but we'll be driving mostly in NW Arkansas.

Lots of good options north of 40 and south of 44.

I don't mind at all. Feel free to watch to your heart's content. The short 5 minute clip from Pocono has some more sliding if you like that kind of thing. The videos from Summit Point have quite a bit of passing, I think in the second half of each one... man that track is a blast. The one of me drifting in the snow is good, mostly at about the 2 minute mark and after. Oh, and the ONE autox I did at Street Survival when I instructed (I think the video is like 26 seconds long) has oversteer too. Lol.

370Z nismo is a cool car, I imagine it's tons of fun on track! All of my track time so far has been with either the NJ or Pennsylvania Delaware Valley chapters of the BMW CCA. The instructors are very patient, helpful and have tremendous driving skill. That's the case for any BMW CCA event. You don't have to own a BMW to do track days with them either.

The NT-01s above are r-compound tires. Unless you have a considerable amount of track time under your belt you should go with a sticky street tire. The Michelin PSS and the Yokohama AD08 or AD08R are both great options. Heard good things about the RE11 also. My AD08s had about 14 track days on them when I decided they were dead. Pretty impressive! They stopped making noise and the grip really became like an on/off switch at the limit. Pretty hard to read and pretty scary. They were great up until that point though. Would use them again except I'm ready to make the jump skill-wise to Rcomps.
