Damn. I just found out that I went to high school with one of the guys on board the helicopter that went down yesterday. I knew his wife from the time I was in kindergarten and we even graduated college together. I never knew the guy too well but he seemed like a pretty good guy. I feel terrible for his wife though, as they just had their first child together. It kind of hits home when you find out that people you went to high school with less than a decade ago are dying. That's the 3rd person in the past year.

Be careful out there, Opponauts.

I live across the bay from Eglin. It's kind of eery knowing that could have happened anywhere in the area, since they train within a 1/4 mile from my house. The crash happened right next to a neighborhood. It's really bad for the families though, especially since I don't know if they have found everybody yet. Though it's kind of odd that they even went through with the training, especially since there were originally two Blackhawks, but one turned around because of the conditions. Though that's just what I saw on the news.

That's what I heard on the news as well. Just going through the comments I saw on facebook, they found the body of the husband, so it looks like they're making progress.

The fog is finally clearing up, so that should help the process. It will not make it better, but it should be easier.
