About a week until a full year has passed since I acquired this car. You know what that means...
I'm going to have to give "Oppo's beloved hot hatch" a review. Or was that the FiST? Oh well.

My ST honeymoon ended after last summer. I don't love it anymore, I just kinda like it.

I've had mine like 5 months. And it's got less than 400 miles. Stupid winter.

Does it mean she'll finally let you dragon it? I've heard the sportier cars don't always give it up as easy as a normal beater

My FiST has its birthday next month. I'm buying the Cobb stage 1 kit. Also maybe making a giant party hat. And a cake. Or some motor coil. Caked up oil? I'll think of something.

Whoah, dude you got yours like a week after mine. I keep enjoying the car, but know that I need to get it out of my life before it costs me a fortune in repairs and car payments.

too cold? It's a modern hatchback. Pretty sure it can survive below 0 Temps. In fact I know cause I've seen them in the chicagoland winter hellscape

I'm not the only one then. Whenever I commented on how I wasn't a fan of it anymore, I'd just get flak for it, but now I'm glad someone else is just like me in this instance. How do you feel about yours?

Make it an El FoSTamino since you've got the hatchback instead of the wagon.

To each his/her own. Many positives and some negatives (paint etc.), but overall I am as smitten as the day I got her (March 30th for me).
Still not my favorite car yet. That still goes to my old '92 Jeep Cherokee Sport (which was my last manual).
Do you have a favorite? The 944?

I like it, really, but I feel that it's not for me anymore. My hair is longer now so it brushes against the ceiling, headrest hits me awkwardly, passengers can't sit behind me, knees are too close to the steering wheel, not enough trunk space for my gear. The other day, I got stuck in traffic and I finally realized how uncomfortable the seats are for long distances.
The gas tank is tiny. Mileage is like I was driving a truck but without the benefit of a truck. (exaggerated a bit, of course)
I feel like and know that I'm not using it to its potential. I don't plan on tracking it and it begs to be tracked. I take care of it and love how it looks but when I'm not on the throttle I think of what I could do if I didn't have it.
Potholes terrify me.
As does this entrance I take a couple of times a week into a parking lot.
So, looks great, fun to drive, great toy, torque is useful from stoplights and lane changes. Tank in the snow but is low enough to be a plow. I feel like because of it I don't ride my motorcycle as much as I should.
I'm utterly conflicted.

Agreed. There are many positives and negatives(I actually haven't had paint issues yet...). I'll try to address everything when I write it up. I got mine March 21st. Lots of March STs here it seems.
The 911 and 944 are kinda tied with the 944 being slightly on top solely because it's more fun to drive where the 911 is more nostalgic for me.

I like mine as well but:
1. I never have more than 2 people in the car(myself and one passenger). I've only had the car filled with people once.
2. The gas tank is as small as my 1.8L Astra, but doesn't go as far. In fact, for the first time in my almost one year ownership and near 15k miles, I'm finally getting 25-26MPG, WTF took so long?? Mind you, I couldn't even get 23MPG driving smart and like a granny before now.
3. Turning circle is freaking huge!! Almost 40ft, my Astra had a much small one.
4. It doesn't bother me that I haven't tracked the car or even done an AutoX yet, nor if I'm using it to it's full potential, it's just nice to know that it's there if I ever need it.
5. Potholes scare me too. Put a bubble in my winter set Sunday night even. -_-
6. It just doesn't excite with all the low-end torque anymore, it doesn't surprise me. High revving to the near redline excites me now.(If only I realized it sooner)
7. We have a wagon and an Explorer at my house, and I live at home for college, the hatch is kinda useless as I rarely if ever fill it too it's capacity.
8. I missed out on some much better options(2015 Mustang, BRZ/FRS, 2014 Mustang, 996, ect.)

I've been lucky with potholes on my winter wheels. I've recently learned number 6 as well. I think the last one is what bugs me...missed out on some interesting options and influences on the market.
I've recorded every fillup and this winter has been brutal distance-wise. Every 180 miles. Distance with my Fusion before this was 344 miles and the F-150 in high school made it to 300 miles, roughly.
I've had passengers a lot more often than when I was originally looking and I wouldn't burden anyone with sitting behind me.
I guess the FoST just doesn't feel right anymore. Still like it a lot but -_-

Hah seriously. Another reason I'm selling is because I have ZERO self control right now. And with the amount that I'm driving every day for work, my radar detector's only gonna keep me on my toes for so long... if you get my drift...
