As some of you my recall, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for the Envoy after battling slow bead leaks for far too long.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I have no use for the old OEM 17-inchers so I figured I'd see if I could make a few bucks on them.

Kinja'd!!!

My problem, as I've stated before, is that while all 4 are in great cosmetic shape, 2 of them have pretty good leaks at the bead. I'm quite sure that this is due to corrosion on the lip. I've had them cleaned up and remounted in the past, only to see the leaks return, so I can't in good conscience sell them as being fully functional.

Should I bother trying to sell them on Ebay or Craigslist with the disclosure that they leak, or should I just take them to the local junkyard and see what they'll give me? I'm open to suggestions.

Since they're the OEM wheels I would try to sell the 2 that are still good, and either junk or caution for the other two. As someone who has scoured craigslist trying to find a matching OEM wheel to go with the ones I already have on the car damaging one, I think there could be some market there.

Although, it could end up being a headache to try to sell, so only you can decide if you really need/want the money difference you could make.

Even with aluminum being more at a junkyard, CL will probably net you a lot more. There's got to be some guy out there with an old import truck (several use the same six-lug pattern) who wants dressiness for the giggles.

As long as you fully disclose the damage I'd try to sell them.

list of Craig is probably the way to go, shipping will be a PITA on eBay. Can't hurt to list them with full disclosure on the two leaky ones. I sold 4 ugly chrome wheels for a decent price no problem, so OEM might be easier.

Craigslist and mention the damage, I sold a set of VW Avus wheels with bald/balding tires and got my asking price of $240 a year ago, guy picked them up too.

The great thing about CL is it's free. Throw all four up there with the warning about the leaks in ALL CAPS for three hundred bucks - let someone talk you down to two and call it a day. If they don't go anywhere after a month or so, you can still junk 'em. How much life is still left on the tires? If you're in a state with inspections someone might buy them just to pass.

The tire still have about 3/8s left. I was planning on making them work until next winter, but it got to be too much of a pain to fill them every other day.
