Everyone is fawning over a metallic gold wrapped GT-R that showed up in Morgantown recently. Its driven by one of the foreign students. Driving a car like that in this town is completely idiotic. The roads will ruin the underside of that car and at no point could you ever make 1/4 use of its capabilities. Sure I'm slightly jealous, but it seems like pretty poor taste to me.

I was going to say be a douchedick and call CBP. But then realized it was an R35 not an R34.

I'd personally think that person would be an idiot. It would be seized and crushed within 6 months.

how are the roads going to ruin the underside? salt? cause they're pretty much all sealed underneath.

4in deep potholes. Nothing but inclines so you have to drive in the right manner that prevents scrapping. In a car like that he would have to be extremely careful to not have problems, even then he will still rub, scrape, bottom out.

Lots of trouble could be had with insurance also. Any gearhead Cop would know what to pull over.

has he lowered it? factory ride height is more than 4 inches, can't remember if its 4.3 or 4.5. Sure there's more practical cars, but don't let shit roads get in the way of me having fun, I just avoid potholes, and I bet the GTR is more comfortable than my shitty MR2.

You can't avoid all the potholes here. I'm sure it sounds like I am exaggerating, but I'm not. Between the road slope changes and bad patch jobs he is definitely having a rough ride. Plus a GT-R isn't exactly a small car to be piloting around our tight roads.

Its like the obnoxiously loud ZL1 here that I noticed today has a sticker that says "eat, sleep, drift". I highly doubt that he drifts it except doing doughnuts in a parking lot.

I've seen 2 or 3 ZL1s and a Z28. All driven by idiots.

I've seen one in my area at Cars and Coffee also. A white R33, I don't think it had plates on it.

That whole group, the matte blue GTR (is it the gold one now?), zl1 and z28, and the 60s mustang all "lift" at the same gym as me. They can't leave the parking lot without redlining... every.... single.... time.....
