At long last, after perhaps a bit too much procrastination, I have purchased some !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Thanks to all the fellow opponauts for your advice/suggestions on which tires to consider. The new tires are being installed tomorrow, which leaves me roughly 24 hours to beat the remaining snot out of my existing tires. Hmmm, what to do, what to do?

And they have good balance between performance and long life, I've found.

Thanks. They came highly recommended. It was between these and some Conti's, but these were actually cheaper after a $70 rebate.

Burnouts are tough with AWD! (This is both a good and bad thing.)

What tires do you have on now? These new ones will likely change the driving dynamics of your car for the better, everyone says they are amazed at the grip.

The factory Dunlops. I'm going from a summer tread/compound to an all-season tire, so I may actually lose some grip in good conditions, although I doubt it. My current tires are quite worn out, so I'm sure just upgrading to a new tire will make a huge difference.

Also, the factory Dunlops have an A traction rating, while the Michelins are AA rated. I'm excited to experience any difference in driving dynamics. The car already had a ton of grip before.

Mis-read, herp derp. Thought you were looking for suggestions to break in your new tires haha

In that case, bomb some back roads with flagrant disregard to your tires!

I CAN. NOT. WAIT. for my Pilot Sport AS+ to wear out so I can pick up the AS/3's. Let me know how they are!

Oh and ditto to making one big rubber piece into many tiny rubber pieces.

My suggestions:

-Burnouts... though that's also hard on the rear brakes, engine and transmission

-Take it onto a skidpad... bonus points if you have instrumentation that shows you how many G's you can pull cornering

-Take it to the drag strip.

There's no time for a drag strip, and the AWD won't do any burnouts worth talking about. It will be skid pad parking lot performance at best.

I wasn't able to abuse the old tires as much as I had hoped, but I did leave a little rubber on the streets. I am enjoying the new tires so far. They actually sound sticky, if that makes sense. Driving around the parking garage with the windows down sounds like someone is peeling adhesive apart.
