When the Dodge Dakota in front of you blows its head gasket at 70 on the highway and you are in a 31 year old car you just did some cooling work on. Also this happened when I parked :)
Cant see if anyone slammed on the brakes in front of you, and that smell made me think I was the one that lost a hose.

I hate when that happens, or when you pull into a spot with an oil stain you didn't notice and when you come out you have a mini panic attack because you think your truck just vomited it's oil everywhere.

Oooh, Jaeger!
At one time you could tell a car's origin by its instruments.
Jaeger for the French
VDO for the Germans
Smiths for the British
Veglia for the Italians

Usually VDO, except for the odo gear on a ton of them

To be fair, you can't really tell if the gauges are working when the car isn't.
