Wish I had more/better pictures of it, but as I got closer to him I noticed the tail lights and said "LOL NICE 240 BRAH" thinking it was a hack job of some kind. But as I passed him I looked over and saw it was RHD and fully caged.
So I can't say with 100% certainty that it was an R32, but if it wasn't he went to a hell of a lot of trouble to make it look like one.

The hard past is that they share very similar roof-lines and potentially wheelbases so if the owner pulled a full conversion then max kudos to whoever. The only way to tell at that point is by vin.

right, but it was RHD...so he imported an RHD Silvia and converted it? That's the part I can't get to.
Maybe he bought it from someone else and did the conversion, who knows.

yeah it's hard to tell from the one crappy pic, but it looked like the real thing as I passed him. I'm no expert though so who knows. I'll keep looking for the guy.

People have done RHD swaps on US 240s...dunno why other than to be "different."

True. Wish I could have followed the guy for a bit to find out more. But for now it's a ~mystery for the ages~
